You don’t have to wait to “feel inspired.” And creativity doesn’t usually show up on demand when you’re already overwhelmed and stretched thin. It needs space. It needs a spark. And sometimes… it needs a little ritual.

These five simple rituals are your invitation to shake things up, reawaken your creative spark, and bring more play, intuition, and momentum into your business during this season. They’re easy to try, don’t require any fancy tools, and best of all? They actually work.

Whether you’re stuck in a rut or just craving a little more magic in your day, try one of these rituals this week and notice what opens up.

1.Curiosity Journaling

Think of this as a playground for your brain—not a diary. The point isn’t to record your day, it’s to explore possibilities.

How to do it:

Set aside 5–10 minutes in the morning (or whenever you feel stuck).
Open a notebook—no prompts required, no judgment allowed—and write down anything that pops into your mind.
Follow your sparks of curiosity with phrases like:

  • “I wonder what would happen if…”

  • “Wouldn’t it be cool if…”

  • “I’ve always wanted to try…”

Let your pen move. Some days you’ll get nothing. Other days, the ideas will pour out. Both are wins.

  • Then—no stopping—write down 20 ways to solve it, support it, or move it forward.

  • The first 5 will be easy. The next 15 might be a little harder to come by. No idea is too out there. You’re not judging—you're generating.

Why it works: Your brain gets stronger the more you stretch it. This exercise forces you to go past the obvious solutions and into your untapped brilliance to unlock new innovative ideas.

4. Clear or Create

When you feel stuck, check in with your energy. Sometimes creativity needs quiet. Sometimes it needs movement. Either way, this ritual helps you realign your energy so ideas can flow again.

How to do it:

  • If you’re overwhelmed and your thoughts feel static, clear some space—literally. Declutter your desk, your tabs, or your mind.

  • If you’re sluggish and uninspired, create some chaos. Bake something messy. Rearrange your space. Try something new.

  • Whichever you choose, the goal is movement.

  • Give your next project a festive twist. Make a pumpkin-themed reel, swap your Canva templates for autumn colors, or add a sprinkle of Halloween flair to your graphics.

  • Host a costume dinner night, a cozy baking party, or a spooky themed community event for your audience.

  • Embrace a seasonal activity just for you—visit a fall festival, decorate your workspace, watch a nostalgic Halloween movie.
