Witchy Business

We’ve been on a bit of a witchy movie kick lately — Practical Magic, Hocus Pocus, The Witches of Eastwick… and, of course, Agatha Harkness (my personal favorite).

Somewhere between the potions, the sisterhood, and the unapologetic power moves, I realized something. Witches have incredible business instincts!

Stay with me here.

Think about it: they follow intuition, trust their timing, master rituals, and don’t care one bit what the crowd is doing.

They don’t chase approval. They create energy.

And honestly? That’s exactly how I want to build my business.

So today, we’re taking a page out of their spellbook and talking about 5 ways to do business like a witch. Working smarter, staying grounded, and creating magic by doing business on your own terms.

1. Tap Into Your Inner Knowing

Think Glinda from The Wizard of Oz. She didn’t hand Dorothy a map, she reminded her that the power to find her way home was already inside her.

That’s you, too. You already know more than you give yourself credit for.

Your intuition is the most underused business strategy out there.

It shows up in the form of gut nudges, creative sparks, and that quiet “nope” that shows up before your brain catches up.

When you learn to trust that voice, you make faster, clearer, more aligned decisions. No spreadsheet required.

2. Protect Your Energy Like It’s a Spell

You can’t pour from an empty cauldron. And you definitely can’t cast if your circle’s full of chaos.

Channel your inner Sabrina the Teenage Witch when she draws her boundary lines — clear, firm, and unapologetic.

That’s what saying “no” does for you in business. It creates a sort of boundary between your energy and the rest of the world.

Protect your time. Guard your focus. And don’t let misaligned projects sneak through your energetic shield.

Boundaries aren’t walls; they’re filters. They keep your efforts potent and your energy protected.

3. Create Rituals That Keep You Grounded

The Sanderson Sisters had their spellbook. You’ve got your systems. Different props, same principle.

You don’t need moon water or spell jars (unless you want them) to define your rituals. Yours might be your morning coffee, your Friday CEO hour, or your Sunday reset walk.

What matters is consistency. Show up for yourself and your business like clockwork and allow these small practices to anchor you in presence.

Small habits add up to big energetic stability.

4. Embrace Your Weird

Morticia Addams never once apologized for her vibe and you shouldn’t either.

The entrepreneurs who stand out aren’t the ones chasing trends. They’re the ones who double down on what makes them unmistakably them.

Don’t dilute your quirks, your style, or your story.

Add glitter to your graphics, curse words to your copy, or heart to your process. Do what feels right for you and your business.

In a world that rewards sameness, your authenticity is your rebellion.

5. Trust the Timing of Your Magic

Even Hermoine Granger didn’t master every spell on the first try. And she definitely didn’t rush the process.

Business growth happens in seasons: creation, refinement, rest, expansion. Each one has its purpose, and none can be skipped.

So if things feel slower than you’d like, remember: every great potion needs time to simmer.

Keep showing up. Keep believing. The magic’s still working, even when you can’t see it yet.

Final Thoughts To The Modern Witch’s Business

Doing business like a witch isn’t really about potions or crystals (though those are fun too). It’s about trusting yourself.

Protecting your peace like it’s sacred, honoring your process, and creating from a place and pace that actually fits your life.

So the next time you feel overwhelmed or off-track, take a page from the witches’ handbook and lean into the magic that’s already inside.

The most powerful witches, and business owners, don’t chase validation.

They radiate conviction.
