The Idea Cauldron: Brew Up Something Magical This Month
Brewing Up Possibility
This month, we’re taking full advantage of the magical energy in the air with The Idea Cauldron. A cozy space to brew up new possibilities in your business and give your creativity a burst of inspiration.
Think of it as an autumn clean-out for your brain — a chance to rescue old ideas from the “graveyard,” dust them off, and see which ones still have a little spark left in them.
Grab your favorite notebook (or your Notes app, if that’s your style), and let’s see what kind of business magic we can brew up this month!
Step 1: Gather Your Ingredients (a.k.a. Your Past Ideas)
Start by collecting every half-baked idea you’ve ever had. The ones scribbled on sticky notes, trapped in voice memos, buried in your inbox, or floating in the back of your mind.
Nothing is too small, silly, or random. If it ever made you think, “Hmm… maybe someday,” toss it into the cauldron.
You might be surprised how many good ideas are hiding behind the ones that didn’t feel “ready” yet.
Try This:
Scroll through your notes app and pull out anything that still excites you.
If you prefer pen and paper (because there’s real power in physically writing things down), start a dedicated “Idea Notebook.”
Give each idea its own line. Get them out of your head and onto the page.
Step 2: Add a Spark
Now it’s time to mix in some curiosity + imagination.
Look over your list and see what still pulls at you. Which idea just won’t leave you alone? That’s the one that’s asking to be explored.
At this point, I love to do an old-school word web. Write the idea in the center of a page, and branch out with the who, what, why, where, when, and how.
If it’s a product or service idea, use this exercise to see what directions it could take.
Want to go deeper?
Try a little cross-niche brainstorming.
Pair your business or offer with a seasonal theme or something your audience already loves. (Example: “coaching + cozy fall rituals” or “branding + creative journaling.”) This exact formula is what inspired this very blog post. Creative Brainstorming Practices + Spooky Season Aesthetic = The Idea Cauldron.
This is how fresh, exciting offers are created!

Step 3: Let the Ideas with Energy Win
As you go, notice what feels light vs. heavy.
Which ideas make you want to grab a pen and keep writing? Which ones give you that little zing of excitement?
That’s your intuition talking.
You don’t have to know why something feels right, just trust that the ideas carrying the most energy are the ones worth exploring.
This step isn’t to decide. It’s to notice.
Step 4: Write Your “Brew Recipe” (The Plan You’ll Actually Want to Do)
Pick the idea that gives you the biggest spark and start planning how you’ll actually do it.
You don’t need a full business plan, just a spark and a little momentum.
Now, turn that spark into motion:
Share the idea that lit you up most with one trusted friend, mentor, or teammate.
Write down three small steps that you could take today to bring it to life — even if it’s just outlining, researching, or naming it.
Circle the step that feels easiest AND GO DO IT! That’s it. Momentum loves simplicity.
Keep the Cauldron Simmering
I hope this sparked some fresh Seasonal Magic into your business.
Ideas are living things. They evolve, expand, and sometimes come back when you least expect them to.
Keep your “Idea Cauldron” somewhere visible — a running note in your phone, a dedicated notebook, or even a jar where you drop quick sparks on scraps of paper.
Check back in once a month and see what’s bubbling.
Your next big thing might not be something new. It could be something that you have already dreamt up — it just needed a good stir!
